Martin Kilduff is Professor of Organizational Behavior at University College London. Martin’s work focuses on social networks in organizations and includes the co-authored books Social Networks and Organizations (Sage, 2003) and Interpersonal Networks in Organizations: Cognition, Personality, Dynamics and Culture (Cambridge University Press, 2008). In selecting a Distinguished Scholar, the committee considers intellectual impact, interdisciplinarity, originality, methodological rigor and creativity, leadership as a journal editor, and mentorship. The breadth of Martin’s work is remarkable, spanning topics from the psychological and personality foundations of networks to social influence, identity, and organizational outcomes. Beyond his scholarship, Martin has shaped the field through editorial leadership at AMR and ASQ and through mentorship of many younger scholars, with nominators emphasizing his pioneering contributions, empirical rigor, and exceptional generosity as an advisor and mentor.
