The Executive Committee provides strategic leadership and oversight for the organization, guiding major decisions, setting priorities, and ensuring the effective operation of its committees and initiatives.

The Awards Committee identifies and selects scholars whose exceptional contributions to the field merit recognition through the Distinguished Scholar, Mid-Career Scholar, Junior Scholar, and Best Network Paper Awards. The committee also appoints the inaugural Daniel J. Brass Fellows of the Social Networks Society.

The Communications Committee engages the SNS community throughout the year by  sharing timely announcements, producing a quarterly newsletter, and running a podcast featuring leading scholars discussing their latest work,  among other efforts that strengthen communication and connection across the society.

The PDW Coordination Committee sustains a vibrant research community by coordinating Professional Development Workshops that align with SNS members’ research interests to advance the development of next-generation researchers.
